Lights for oven temperature only partially lit. Can We replace the control board? Will that fix the problem ?
For model number LREL6321S
Hello Gil, thank you for getting in touch. If the light in the display are not working, you will need to replace the control board with display, part number PS16223046, to fix the issue. We hope this helps.
Dropped a hammer on the range while removing a ceiling light. Viewed a How-To video on Google. Ordered the needed parts. Followed the steps from the How-To video. Reinstall was a bit tricky by myself - could have used an extra set of hands. I have a few words of caution: 1) Put something between the range top and range - like a sheet or drop cloth - to prevent a dropped screw from falling into a crevice in the stove. I dropped a screw and was unable to retrieve it, even with a magnet. 2) Makes sure you remove all bumpers, screws, clips, etc. from the item being replaced and put them on the new item if the new item does not come with replacement bumpers, screws, etc.
You just pull out the clip but the the hard part is doing that without bending the metal hole the holds the clip. If you do bend the hole the clip will not fit flush. Just get a flat screwdriver and reshape the whole.
We had made this determination with the help of a repairman on the phone. I ordered the part and waited for it. It was stuck in West Virginia. After several days after it was expected a repairman fixed my range to the tune of $168. It should have cost $30 (the cost of the part and shipping). Unfortunately I probably won't order from PartSelect again.
