Fan turned on with lower rpm than usual, ran for a couple of minutes then quits. That phenomenal went on for a few times. The fan died completely now. What repair part(s) do i need? Thank you so much
For model number KXW8736YSS0
Hi Geo,
Thank you for your question. If the fan is no longer working, you will likely need to replace the blower fan motor, but you should also check the control panel and the switches. We hope this helps! If you have any questions, please let us know.
The repair did not happen. Parts select sent me the wrong part. They sent a cover plate without any switches. I;m still waiting for the correct part.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Removed and cleaned to overhead grease trap filters which required a sink full of detergent some wire wool pads and and much elbow grease. This is probably a service task that should be performed at least annually for hoods in frequent use. And be careful not to cut your fingers on some of the sharp interior edges.
With the grease filters removed it was then possible to access the switch unit from the inside of the hood. Used a small Phillips screwdriver to loosen and remove the two fastening screws and removed and replaces the whole unit.
Amazing. PartSelect shipped me the wrong part and then wouldn't refund shipping cost to return it. They need to change their shipping policy as it now states they refund shipping if they were the cause of the mistake.
