Hello Vincent, thank you for contacting us. The frost on the freezer wall is mostly caused by a faulty door gasket, part number PS1960726. When the gasket is damaged, warm air leaks into the freezer compartment, and its condensation leads to the formation of an ice layer on the freezer wall. We would also recommend testing the bi-metal defrost thermostat, part number PS11750673, and defrost heater, part number PS11739692. Customer service is always available to help you place an order if you are having trouble doing so. Good luck with your repair.
Icemaker flap doesn’t open or close, ice maker still works
For model number KSCS25FTMS02
Hi Tim, thank you for your inquiry. Based on the description that you have provided, we would recommend replacing the dispenser ice chute door, part number PS11740268, to fix the issue. It opens to let ice through when dispensing. We hope this sorts out your problem!
removed flap door in front of icemaker...removed 3 screws with bolt heads...removed one additional screw with bolt head and ice unit slid out. I removed motor unit (pops out no screws). Replaced and had ice within 3 hours.
Remove the icemaker service door... gently pry the door pins from the hinge sockets. Remove the 3 screws from the under side of the icemaker with a nut driver (1/4"). Gently remove the icemaker . It's a tight fit between the top of the compartment and the icemaker lower support tray. Next, disconnect the electrical connector at the right side. You're done! Reverse procedure for installing. Good luck. Remember, your working with cold plastic...take your time and don't force too much.
