The door handle on the front of the dishwasher lost one of the screws so the handle won't stay on. Could you tell me what the part # is? Thank you for your help. It should be covered on warranty and we also bought the five year extended warranty on 9/20/2022.

Hi Karen, Thank you for reaching out to PartSelect.com. For the warranty you would need to contact Whirlpool as we do not cover the manufacture warranties, just the warranty on parts we sell. The screw for the handle is listed as PS3406943. We hope this helps, good luck with the repair!

The dispenser lid often fails to catch when I close it. When I push harder on it, it may close but then won't open. How to troubleshoot?

Hello Rodney, thank you for getting in touch. The issue could be due to detergent buildup. Clean the dispenser latch, use a small brush or old toothbrush dipped in warm water and white vinegar to scrub the dispenser door edges, hinge, and the latch mechanism. Remove any buildup that has hardened. If this does not help, there could be an internal mechanical failure in the dispenser. The internal components of the detergent dispenser are not available as an individual part. You will need to replace the dispenser assembly, part number PS12745376, to fix the issue. We hope this helps.
My dishwasher control panel did not light up. Control panel PartSelect #: PS12745361 however has power and the green light blinks on and off every 2 seconds. Looks like the panel behind the HMI is dead. Whats the part number for this panel?

Hi Bradly, thank you for reaching out. Based on our understanding of the issue, we would suggest that you make sure there are no broken or loose components in the dishwasher. If that is not causing the issue, then you may need to check the pump motor, part number PS12741766, as it might be faulty or it might just be starting to fail. If the pump motor is faulty, you may need to replace it. We hope this helps!
I called an experienced plumber, who balanced and installed my new dishwasher properly, using the brackets I ordered from Parts Select, after an INEXPERIENCED plumber had tossed the factory-provided mounting brackets out with the shipping carton. Relief!
After pulling the dishwasher out, I was able to determine the leak was occurring around the plastic nuts on the end of the heating element. I removed the heating element and saw that even though there were washers on the ends that protruded through the backside of the machine, they really weren't sealing the holes the element was sticking through. Looking at YouTube videos on the installation procedure, I noticed the element being installed had a sort of metal grommet permanently affixed to each end and the rubber washers were between the grommet and the dishwasher body. I ordered the new part and saw this to be when I received the new part. This grommet allowed the washer to seal the hole, once the plastic nuts were installed on the backside of the dishwasher. This seems to have stopped the leak. I don't know how the original part ever worked correctly, since the washers freely sat on the element with nothing to force them up against the body of the dishwasher and seal the holes. It may have been leaking long before I discovered the problem.
