The microwave stopped working with no power at all. What can it be?
For model number JVM3160DF3BB

Hello Michelle, Thank you for the question. In most cases it is caused by a blown Fuse, PartSelect Number PS3486694. To get to the fuse, remove the outer cabinet of the unit, which is usually held in place with a few screws. Once the outer cabinet is removed, follow the power cord into the unit. It will take you to the fuse holder, where the fuse sits. The fuse holder is located two or three inches into the unit, and may be attached to a power board. Hope this helps!

I have a model jvm3160df3bb microwave. Fan and light all work, as does clock and time. But when we place an item inside and enter any time and press start it trips the breaker feeding the the microwave circuit. There is nothing else on the circuit. It is a 20 amp breaker designated circuit. Any clue what to check first?? I have tried plugging it into a different circuit. lowering the power level etc. is it a door switch or something on the main board?

Hi Robert, if you are certain it is not an overloaded circuit then a part on the microwave is drawing more power than needed. Basically parts that could be drawing power could cause this, the motor, thermostat ect; Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair!

Had to replace charcoal filter
Open the front cover by pushing it at the top (where it says “Push”), lifting up and pushing back on top edge of the old filter. Pull it out. Installing the new one is basically just the reverse of those steps! That simple.

Old filter did seem to be a little thicker (filter material), but the new one was the exact same dimensions, so it went in properly. Wish the filter material was white, so you knew just how dirty it was actually getting. But... :-D
