I need to replace either my entire door or outer glass on my GE Profile Gas model # JGBS30DEK2WW By any chance are the oven doors or outer glass on these two units happen to be interchangeable.??? I have been using my gas stove wth out the outer glass door for the last 6 months, Evern managed to use the oven. I can getthis electric white profile for free and it is is walking distance. Ionly want it if I can use the door or glass for my gas stove/rane.

I popped the door hinge. How do I pull it back down to put locking mechanism back in place?

Hello Karen, Thank you for your inquiry. You will need to force the hinges open and lock them out when the door is off the oven. Then, place the door back on the oven and open the door up all the way. Push the tabs back down all the way so that the hinges are no longer locked and this will allow you to shut the door again. Removed the two screws put the heat shield off the old one onto the new one put new bottom in and tightened two screws. Done #38. 69 Cost of part with shipping cost included.
Unplugged the appliance for safety. Removed two 1/4" screws that held the assembly in place. Carefully removed the wire guard that retains the glass shield. Unscrewed old light bulb and replaced with new part. Reversed the steps after cleaning glass cover.
