For model number HGS235UC
Hello Jo, thank you for your question. Before you begin, make sure to unplug the appliance and turn off the gas. Depending on the model, you may need to remove screws securing the base of the burners. Insert a putty knife between the main top and the control panel. Gently lift up to unclip the clips securing the top down. On some models these clips may be located on the side of the appliance. Once the clips are unclipped the top should pull off or lift up. We hope this helps.
