OVEN WANT HEAT UP TO SET TEMP OR TAKES WAY TOO MUCH TIME TO HEAT UP ON Baking mode. BROIL MODE NO PROBLEM, Roast mode does better than Bake mode. Replaced baking element no improvement
For model number HBL5351UC
Hello Michael, thank you for contacting us. Please inspect the wire connections of the bake element and also the temperature settings. We would also recommend checking the temperature sensor, part number PS10057828. Please reach out to customer service if you need help placing an order. Glad to be of help!
First, cut the power and remove the oven from the cabinet.
The bake element is accessible from the back and sits in a drawer.
As someone else said, you have to use pliers to bend the cover of the drawer, you will make some damage to the cover, but there is nothing you can do about it.
Make a note of what wire goes to the right and to the left so you can plug them back like it was before.
When you replace the bake element, make sure you insert it in the straps so it won't wiggle when it heats.
To close the cover that you bent, you will need a helper and push really hard.
