How do I fix the spin cycle
For model number GTWN2800D2WW
PartSelect logo
Hello Paul, thank you for your question. If your spin cycle is not functioning properly, it may be the Belt PS1482278 that is stretched or damaged. Or, the washing machine won't go into a spin cycle until it's been drained. The Drain Hose PS890597 may become clogged with debris from your clothing, or it could be kinked

My washing machine fills up with water and begins to wash but begins to spin before the wash is complete. Then the spin comes to a complete stop before the spin cycle is finished and locks. What do you think could be the problem.

Hello Stacy, thank you for your question. The most probable cause of the issue you describe is a problematic washer timer, part number PS11701146. It controls the electrical components and the duration of the washer's cycles. Customer service is available 7 days a week if you require assistance placing an order. Thanks again for reaching out!

This washer provides only lukewarm water - NO HOT - manufactured intentionally that way for energy purposes. Told to disconnect wire that feeds the mixing valve, I would then get only HOT [instead of luke warm water] but now the hot water become an extremely slow stream and takes forever to obtain enough water to do small load of wash Would like to change the water switch/valve to correct. Can you help?? Thank you

Hello Eleanor, thank you for your inquiry. Clean the water inlet screens. Check the hot water line coming into the washer. If this is not the issue, you will need to replace the water inlet valve, part number PS11701139. We hope this helps, good luck with the repair!

I get limited hot water only if I turn the cold off. Hose and screen is clear. Temp switch allows cold, lukewarm and lukewarm. Do you think this part would solve the problem?
For model number GTWN2800D2WW

Hello Greg, thank you for getting in touch. According to our understanding, the issue is most probably with the temperature control switch, part number PS3499718. It regulates the temperature of the water entering the tub. You may need to replace it to solve the problem. Glad to be of assistance!

I spoke to a very nice young ladie who took my order and I received my order within two days. I pull the clasp off of the old knob and replace the knob and the clasp with the new part and it now works great. Thank you for helping me find the part I needed.

washing machine would not go through all cycles or agitate
After removing frt panel which prys off I checked for anything obvious like a loose belt. Then I jiggled the magnet switch located on the inside of the loading cover. I saw the machine start agitating the it stopped again when I stopped touching it. I ordered the new part and spliced it in with the wire crip tool. Now the machine is A ok.
