Hello Les, Thank you for asking. 1. Remove the fabric softener dispenser. 2. Align the raised bump with the opening on the auger. 3. Use the screwdriver to puncture through the inner shaft of the auger and twist it clockwise until the auger releases. 4. Unscrew the bolt on the base of the agitator and lift it up. 5. Install the agitator back by reversing the same procedure. Good luck with the repair!

Having problems with it not wanting to spin you can he all the clicking but won’t do anything what could it be?

Hello William, thank you for reaching out. According to our research, the problem could be with the mode shifter or shift actuator, part number PS16554752. The mode shifter, controls the agitation program, and allows the washer to go through the fill, agitate, rinse and spin cycles. We hope this helps!

Some type of cord, string, yarn, or the like has been wrapped around the agitator and cannot be accessed to be cleaned out. We cannot figure out how to unassemble the agitator to cut & free up the cords, clean it up and reassemble it, providing there’s no damage to anything. Please help!! Thank you!

Hello Mary, thank you for reaching out. Following are the general instructions to disassemble the washer agitator: First, remove the agitator cap using your hand. Then, locate the small hole present on the lower side of the auger, and align it with a small dot present underneath it, on the auger base. Insert a screwdriver in this small hole, and rotate it clockwise. The auger will come off, and the hub nut will become visible. Remove it using a plier, and use your hand to remove the agitator base. Follow the same procedure, and rotate the auger in the counter-clockwise direction to reassemble it. We hope this helps!

Hello Ann, thank you for contacting us. Based on the description that you have provided, we would recommend replacing the washer transmission, part number PS16729511, to fix the issue. It drives the agitator and spins the basket in the washer. We hope that helps!

Would not drain the water from the tub.
Very simple to repair. Be sure to drain the tub outside or into the sump pump then lay the washer on its side. The pump is right there on the bottom of the basket with 3 bolts. You will also need to remove the belt cover to get to the plug. So simple and saves you hundreds off repair man prices.

Water was dripping into the detergent tray when the unit was off.
Removed the control panel back plate cover. Removed the 3 screws that held the water control valve in place. I then unplugged each solenoid one at a time and plugged it into the new control valve. Once all wires were transferred, I pulled the old valve up and put the new valve on. Then reinstalled the screws that held it down and reinstalled the cover plate. Very simple job !
