Not sure ...it would not spin or drain . we are told cd that it may need a new switch board?
For model number GTW330ASK3WW
PartSelect logo
Hello Lea, thank you for your question. The first part we would recommend testing is the lid lock. If the lid doesn't lock the unit will not spin or drain. The lid lock is Part #: PS12343280. If that doesn't fix the issue, or is tested and is fine, the issue would most likely be the board which is PS12730586.

Spin does not stop then machine Star shaking

Hello, Thank you for your question. Typically you will need to check the suspension rods/springs. Those are what cause the unit to become off balanced and shake. We hope this helps.

Why washer doesn't agitate?
For model number GTW330ASK3WW
PartSelect logo
Hi Anthony, Thank you for your question. If the agitator is not agitating, you will need to unplug the washer from the electrical outlet and remove it from the washer to inspect it. Unthread the agitator retaining screw and check to see if it is worn or damaged on any part of it, particularly on the splines, or if you experience little to no resistance when turning it manually, you will need a replacement agitator. If the agitator is fine, check the lid lock. The lid lock is a safety feature for your washer and in series with the motor circuit and must be activated for the motor to operate. When the lid is closed a pin or projection on the lid pushes against the lid lock lever and closes the switch. If your washer does not agitate and the motor is not getting any power, you should check the lid switch. Before testing the lid lock unplug the washer from the electrical outlet. Locate the switch and verify that it is being activated when the lid is closed. If it is, remove the switch in order to test it. Set your multimeter to the Rx1 setting, touch the probes to the terminals, and press and hold the switch button down. The multi-meter should show a reading zero or nearly zero. If your test produces different results, you will need a replacement lid switch. If the switch is fine you will then need to check the belt and the mode shifter. We hope this helps!

Its making a grinding noise when it tries to start agitating.
For model number GTW330ASK3WW
PartSelect logo
Hello Clede, thank you for your question. A grinding noise can have several causes. A grinding noise while agitating then either the clutch PS11729473 splines are wearing, or the transmission PS16729509 is failing. Also, check the Motor Pulley PS16619249. Good luck with your repair.

When my washer starts to wash, it sounds like metal to metal (loud), while washing and while rinsing. Spinning sounds normal. Could something be messed up in my agitator, or would it need greasing?
For model number GTW330ASK3WW
PartSelect logo
Hello Cynthia, Thank you for the question. We suggest checking the Hub Nut PartSelect Number PS8757009 for wear or damaged. We hope this helps.

Would not drain the water from the tub.
Very simple to repair. Be sure to drain the tub outside or into the sump pump then lay the washer on its side. The pump is right there on the bottom of the basket with 3 bolts. You will also need to remove the belt cover to get to the plug. So simple and saves you hundreds off repair man prices.
