The microwave just quit. The light comes on and the plate spins but it does not heat anything. Any ideas? Also do you know what the opening size required for this model? I could not figure out how to remove the unit from the current opening. I'm thinking about replacing it if I can't get the microwave fixed. No one is interested in looking at a 16 year old microwave.

Hello Ron, thank you for reaching out to PartSelect. We would recommend checking the diode, part number PS11757136, to fix the issue. Cabinet opening dimensions of your model are:
A: 30" (76.2 cm) min. cabinet width.
B: 1" (2.5 cm) top of cutout to bottom of the upper cabinet door.
C: 19¹/4" (48.9 cm) bottom of cutout to floor.
D: 28¹/2" (72.4 cm) cutout width.
E: 1¹/2" (3.8 cm) min. Bottom of cutout to top of cabinet door.
F: 41¹/4" (104.8 cm) cutout height.
G: 23¹/4" (59.1 cm) min. cutout depth.
H: 23" (58.4 cm) recessed oven depth.
Good luck with the repair!

Remove panel for cleaning between the two glass pieces
For model number GMC305PRS01
Hello Roy, thank you for reaching out. According to our research, the door needs to be removed because there are screws in the bottom of the door that must be released. With a flathead screwdriver, push it into the corner of the door and pull forward to free the hinges. Repeat on the opposite side. Push the door up until it reaches the stop notch, at which point you must simply pull either side, being a little rough as you go. Repeat this process a second time, laying down a towel, carpet, or something else to protect your work surface. To clean it, disassemble the entire top. The lid is made of stainless steel and is attached primarily at the bottom by two screws on either side, so take out those screws. These screws come in a variety of sizes and some of their threads are self-tapping. To remove the top screws, carefully raise the door up and turn it around to reveal them. The two screws on the bottom should also be removed. The outside door is connected to the inside door with these clamps down here at the bottom, so remove the third and fourth screws from the left and right sides of the panel before removing the two screws holding the outer door to the inner door. That will come off the door. A piece of furniture with a glass window in the center has to be removed so that the glass may be seen and cleaned. The complete unit can be removed if a few more crews are pulled from the panel's sides, allowing you to pull the whole thing out. Well, the door has been removed. It is really dirty in here, but you can clean it all up. Clean it out by removing the outer door and the center lid or panel, which is the inside panel. Drive it entirely off after washing it with soap and warm water. Following cleaning, the panel may be rebuilt using the same method, and the entire door panel can then be installed in its position. We hope this information helps!

Broke the glass panel inside the oven door -- dropped a baking dish on the glass!
Easily removed the door from the oven by releasing clips attached to the door hinge -- very nicely engineered. Removed about 6 philips head screws to allow the door assembly to be taken apart for access to the glass. Lifted out the broken glass, cleaned the inside of the door, installed the new glass, reassembled the door (a two minute project), and reattached the door to the oven. Cleaning the inside of the door took longer than the actual repair!

I broke the Bake Element while cleaning the oven.
I removed the two screws that held the bake element in place. Next I removed the Bake Element. I had to unscrew the oven to go behind it because when one piece off of the element broke, it slide back behind the oven. I pushed the wire back thru the piece holes, connected the Element, and pushed the element with the wires back through the holes. I rescrewed the element in place and the oven. PartSelect helped me to save this year's Christmas.

No heat after cleaning oven
This built-in oven was slid out of it's space and set on a box. I removed the back cover with nut driver and located the safety overload device. removed nuts and used pliers to remove wires and replace them. The power must be off to do this repair.Replaced the cover and slid back into place. This could be a lot more difficult if your power cord or gas line is not long enough to make it out of your wall space. Or of your oven is attached well to the frame.
