Hello Dildred, Thank you for your inquiry. To set the timer, you would chose the wash cycle and turn the dial, then you can use the buttons to set the soil level, spin speed and wash temperature, which all determine the length of time washing. We do have links to the owners manuals listed on our site for your model and we have included the links below. Hope this helps. https://partselectcom.azureedge.net/assets/manuals/C87A26BDFC05C75A7AA6B0B6DDD2F5211A0F7A58.pdf https://partselectcom.azureedge.net/assets/manuals/9F94D2C59CEDBE94690F353A6B1461AA93D1B18E.pdf

A few months ago my washer belt came off. The drive pulley was wobbling on the stud with the bolt tight. I replaced the drive pulley, The new belt was too tight, so I didnt change it. This morning the belt came off again. The drive pulley is very wobbly again. I think the stud the pulley slides on to is worn out too. Can I change the shaft the drive pulley slides on to? What part is it?

Hello Dale, thank you for your inquiry. The part that you are looking for is the basket assembly, part number PS7783401. You can easily replace this part by using the following instructions: Turn off washer. Remove the top panel. Remove the screws holding the rear access panel and remove the panel. Remove the lower and upper braces. Remove the dispenser drawer. Remove the control panel. Remove the interface control board plug from the main control board. Remove the boot seal. Remove the toe panel. Remove the front door panel. Disconnect the window washer tube and the water inlet tube. Remove the top frame brace and remove the dispenser holes from the top of the tub. Loosen up the retainer clamp and take it off, pull the boot seal off the tablet. Remove the two front counterweights using the 30 millimeter socket wrench. Loosen up the center bolt and remove the bottom counterweight. Remove the belt by pulling on it and slowly rotating the pulley at the same time. Remove the pulley; use the hammer scandal to jam the pulley. Remove the screw and disconnect the ground wire from the bearing hub. Press the locking tab and remove the ground wire from the motor use. Remove the motor mounting bolt, slowly pull the motor out and lay it on the bottom. Remove the air-pressure tube with the torque stem screwdriver. Take out the screw that holds the pressure tube connector on the left press down on the locking tab underneath and remove the pressure tube. Slowly unscrew it to drain the water from the pump. Using the pliers, slide the clamp and remove the tub to pump hose from the bottom of the tub. Using the pliers, slide the clamp and remove the outlet hose from the tab on the right. Detach the shock absorbers from the tub. Grab the shock absorber at the top, turn it 90 degrees counter-clockwise and pull it out. Use the pliers to squeeze the tabs and push out both wire retainer clips press on the locking tab and disconnect the wire harness plug from the temperature sensor. Using the small screw-driver to remove the wire harness retainer bracket at the top of the cabinet, grab the suspension spring tight, pull up and remove from the cabinet. Remove the second suspension spring and take the tub out of the cabinet. Remove springs off and remove all metal clamps which hold two tops together. Use the flat blade screwdriver, take a few pictures of how the clamps are installed, then pry them out one by one separate house, pull out the basket. We hope this information helps!

How do I adjust the belt tension? The new belt is too small to get on the pulleys without being able to loosen the motor to make the smaller belt fit.

Hi Dale, thank you for reaching out. In order to attach a tight drive belt to your washing machine's drum pulley, you may need to follow these simple steps: Place the belt around the drum pulley and use a cable tie to secure it tightly in place. Release the other end of the belt so it can reach the motor spindle at the bottom, and attach it there. Move the belt on the drum pulley as far as it will go. Manually turn the drum to make sure the belt is fully on the pulley. Once that is done, cut and remove the cable tie. Double-check that the belt is correctly positioned on the drum pulley, and adjust it if needed using the grooves on the belt and the motor spindle. We hope this information is useful!

machine would not fill on any cycle requiring hot water, Machine would work fine on cold cycles
I Disconnected power to machine and shut off water supply lines. Move washer away from wall and removed supply lines.(good time to replace them if older than five years) Where these supply lines attach to the washer is the water valve you are replacing. There are 3 screws on the back of the cabinet lid, then on the front 3 more screws hold the lid to the plastic control housing. After removing screws you need to slide the lid up and towards the back of the machine app. 1 1/2"to 2" before you can raise the lid up and off of the machine. Once the lid is off it is just one screw holding the valve, and a hose clamp that needs removed from the end of the valve. Then slide valve to the right (looking from front of machine to the back.) I left the wires attached to the old valve, installed the new valve then reattached the wires in the same order as they were on the old valve to avoid confusion. (note valve must slide into place to get screw to line up.)assemble is reverse of the above steps. Don't forget to level machine. Be careful attaching water supply lines plastic valve threads can strip without much effort.

inlets cross threaded from water hose connections
I unplugged the power cord from the wall outlet, then I had to remove the top panel off the machine by removing the three phillips screws holding the back trim strip to the front top of the machine, than I removed the three 1/4 inch head screws holding the top panel found at the back top of machine. I now pulled the top pannel to the rear and removed the top pannel. Then I used pliers to squeeze open and slide clear the small clamp to the rubber hose to the valve and removed the hose end to the valve. Then I carefully pulled off the four wire connectors to the two solenoids of the valve.
Than I removed the one 1/4 inch head screw found on the back side of the machine securing the valve to the machine. Then I removed the valve by sliding it to the mounting screw side to disengage it.
Install the valve in reverse order but I tightened the valve holding screw only till it's seated because it screws into soft plastic. 6/15/08

"Door Locked" light always on. Washer would not run
Remove bottom kick plate of washer. Remove 4 screws behind door that hold the latch/lock assembly. Reach up inside the washer from underneath to unplug 3 wire connectors. (This is a very tight spot). Once wires are off, part comes right out. Connect wires to the new part - this is by far the most difficult part of the job because it is way up inside the washer. Replace all bolts.
Overall, pretty easy to do - just reconnecting the wires is a pain, but if you are patient it is not a big deal.
