I have a client who states that the only way his GE Profile GFT14ESSM1WW ventless condenser dryer will dry clothes is if they turn the unit up to the "high heat" setting, and even then it takes a while to dry a load. He further states that he occasionally gets an error code of E11, which from what I found, points to a door lock assembly problem, which makes no sense since the dryer WILL operate.
Additionally, he also states that during the1-1/2 to 2 years he's owned this dryer he's never had to empty the water tank. Since it has no external drain tube, this seems very odd.
Can you point me in the right direction so that I might troubleshoot and repair this for him?

Dryer will dry clothes but I have to unplug it and plug it back in to start dryer everytime .

Hello Donald, thank you for the question. Most of the time, faulty door switches will not let your dryer start properly after a dryer cycle. Check the door switches using a multimeter for continuity. There's a huge build up of lint in the lint trap slot. Not the trap, but the SLOT in which the trap is inserted. How do I clean it? Is there a hand held mini vac with enough suction that will fit all the way to the bottom? Thanks

Hi Jay, thank you for the great question. Using a vacuum crevice tool, such as part number PS2362547, carefully clean inside the lint trap slot to help further ensure proper airflow. It is responsible for detecting when the water tank is full and needs emptying and when defective it can generate a false signal of a full tank. We would also recommend cleaning the vents and making sure that the blower wheel is working. If this does not help, the issue is probably related to a faulty control board, part number PS12722940.
