Should the fan on this freezer run constantly?
For model number FPFU19F8RFD
Hi Dawn, thank you for the question. We have found that the compressor and fan motors should only have to run occasionally throughout the day to maintain that cool temperature. If the compressor and fan motors are continuously running, it means the system is having trouble maintaining the temperature. In that case, you may need to check the freezer door gasket, part number PS11766245, to fix the issue. We hope this solves your problem!
After a power failure my freezer will not freeze ice cubes in a tray. I am not using the ice maker just regular trays. The bottom of the freezer is frozen but the top is not. What is the correct temp it should be set at? Is there a sequence of buttons to push to diagnose and get it back to working order?
For model number FPFU19F8RFD
Hi Dawn, thank you for reaching out. According to our research, the recommended oven temperature is below 0 degrees Fahrenheit. Try resetting the freezer to fix this issue. To reset your freezer, unplug it from the wall outlet and leave it unplugged for 15 to 20 minutes. After that time has elapsed, plug the freezer back in and hold down the alarm reset button for three seconds. If it does not help, we recommend checking the evaporator fan motor, part number PS11766003. We hope this solves your problem!
After a power outage my freezer will only freeze on the lowest shelf. How do I get it to set itself to the correct freezer degrees?
For model number FPFU19F8RFD
Hello Dawn, thank you for your question. Our research has found that you may have to replace the control board part number PS5574074 to fix this issue. We hope this helps.

Unplugged faulty ice maker, removed two screws holding it to the refrigerator and took it out. Reversed the operation with the new ice maker and after a few minutes presto, we have ice.
I had put in a new ice maker and it still had the problem, (I needed the Ice maker anyway) I installed the vale and while I was at it I put a five year filter on the water line that went from the value to the Ice maker, it took less than one hours, the ice is making like it did when it was new, I could not be more please at theis time. Thanks for your Interest. God bless.
