Have power to outlet. No power to microwave.

Hello Larry, thank you for writing. If your microwave won’t start and the display is blank and unresponsive, the issue may be with the ceramic fuse. This part protects other microwave components from power fluctuations, and causes a complete loss of power when it fails, meaning your microwave won’t work. How to test a microwave ceramic fuse with a multimeter: -Unplug your microwave before starting this test. -The ceramic fuse will be found near the power cord. Remove the microwave’s cabinet, locate the fuse, and remove it in order to test it for continuity. -Set your multimeter to Rx1 and touch the probes to the fuse’s terminals. This test should produce a reading of 0, showing that there is continuity between the terminals. -If your test produces a different reading, you will need a replacement ceramic fuse.

Power would not come on, would trip breaker when connected.
First thing I dir was search YouTube for any related videos and found this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uHj4H9Fdxrc, it was the exact problem my microwave was exhibiting. Once I verified the problem by troubleshooting, I removed the part and verified that the switches were working fine, the door latch assembly showed signs of wear which was the cause of the problem. After receiving the replacement part I installed it, verified that power was restored to the unit and reassembled the microwave, works fine, hope it lasts a long time!

Thermostat bad....but couldn't fix it
My grandfather who is well versed as an electrician checked my microwave out because it wasn't worked. He used a multimeter to check electric current to parts in the microwave. He said a specific thermostat was not getting any current going through. I ordered that replacement part from this site and when it came in it didn't have current running through it either. He said he thought the part that was given to me was faulty. I called this companies number to ask some questions but the machine said they aren't taking any inquiry calls because of the pandemic right now. So I currently don't know what the problem is with my microwave. I want to return the part but unfortunately during Christmas time the packaging got thrown away. So as of right now I'm out the part money and probably money to buy a new appliance.
