If the water filter has not been changed for more than 6 months, then it needs to be replaced. If you have just replaced the water filter, then it needs to be flushed before using it. If the issue is not the water filter, check the water lines to see if they are clogged or frozen. You should also check the water inlet valve, the micro switch and the dispenser button switch assembly. Hello Beth, thank you for getting in touch. You may simply need to push the old filter in until it clicks. Once you hear the click sound, you may need to pull the filter out. For installing the new filter, you may need to push it in until you hear a click sound. We hope this information helps!
