dishwasher has water to water inlet valve...replaced value but no water to inside the dishwasher. you can hear the motor running. What part do i need to replace next?
For model number FDPC4221AW0A
Hello Jennifer, thank you for contacting us. The issue is probably related to a faulty float switch, part number PS3492842. It shuts the water fill valve off if the water level gets too high before the timed fill cycle ends. If it is faulty, the water inlet valve can remain shut. We would also recommend checking the float assembly, part number PS11770486. Customer service is available seven days a week if you require assistance placing an order. Thanks again for reaching out!
Do you have a replacement rinse aid cap for this model? Or where can I get one?
For model number FDPC4221AW0A
Hello Heather, thank you for reaching out. We have researched your model and found that the rinse aid cap is not sold separately. It comes as an assembly with the detergent dispenser, part number PS11770487. We hope this is what you were looking for!
The replacement rack shown in the picture here doesn’t show an upper spray arm attached to the underside of it like the one has in the machine I am replacing. So does the spray not come with the upper rack and is it something I can remove from my old rack and install an the new one?
For model number FDPC4221AW0A
Hello John, thank you for your question. Yes the new Rack PS17219659 does not come with the sprayer attached. You will need to remove it from the old rack and reattach it to the new one. We hope this helps.
Hi Ken, thank you for your inquiry. Check the dishwasher filter, part number PS11770489. If the filter is clogged or full of debris, clear it as it can affect the water flow. If the heating element, part number PS3653449, is weak or not working efficiently, the dishwasher will take time to heat water properly for the wash cycle. You can check the heating element visually and also do a continuity test using a multimeter. Glad to be of help!
I have had to keep replacing the spray arm on the bottom of my dishwasher which takes like 2 seconds to do.. First you open the dishwasher and than pull the bottom basked forward and reach down and pull the spray arm up and pop the bottom of the spray arm off and put it on the new spray arm and slip it back into the dishwasher over the thing that makes it spin around.. but the tricky part is and I didn't know this and this is why my dishwasher spray arm kept falling over and melting on the heating element.. you have to turn it till it clicks in.. and your done..
I removed old tub gasket, which the door presses against to make a seal, and put the new one in. Flat tip screwdriver was used to gently press gasket in.
