After chain getting bound in limb it just stopped working completely as If no battery. Just charged battery. Is there a shear pin or something.
For model number DCCS670X1
Hi Merrill,
Thank you for your question. Overtime rechargeable batteries start to loose power and will eventually need to be replaced. This may be a reason why the chainsaw is not starting. Also, the chain getting bound up in a limb may have damaged some of the electrical components inside the chainsaw. You will need to inspect the chainsaw and verify what part is causing the issue. Once you have determined the part you need, please feel free to call customer service. We are open 7 days a week and anyone will be happy to assist you. We look forward to hearing from you!
