Hi, you answered a question last week about my fridgidaire gallery stove sending f10 code. We checked the oven probe and a bar that has 2 purple wires. Everything is ok. I put it back together tight. Whoohoo oven worked. At dinner i was using broil to make garlic bread. It wasn't heating like it should. Then a f10 stated beeping and i couldn't cancel it. Had to turn main breaker of stove off. Waited a few minutes it still beeped. This morning i put breaker on no beeping. I'm not going to try oven again. Any sugestions. Thank you

Hi Donna,
Thank you for your question. If the oven probe is fine, you will need to check the electronic control board, both oven elements and the wiring between these parts to see which once is causing the issue. We hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day.

Oven won't heat up. Turn on bake and the convection fan comes on. The element indicator then cycles between bake and broil but no heat. Checked the temperature sensor and it reads approx 1060 ohms. Both elements seem to be ok with 14-16 ohms.
For model number CGEF3034MFD
Hello and thank you for writing.
The bake element resistance should measure between 16 and 23 ohms and the broil element should measure between 14 and 19 ohms of resistance. If both oven elements have the correct resistance then the voltage supply must be tested to each oven element. The resistance of the sensor should read approximately 1080 – 1090 ohms at room temperature. If all of this checks out ok then you need to check the main terminal block PS471605 as it might have become faulty. We hope this information helps. Please contact us anytime if you require further assistance.
I have a question about when the oven needs to preheat on the convection setting it seems to take very long to preheat. I am not sure if it is normal that it takes more than 15 minutes?
For model number CGEF3034MFD
Hello Maurice, We are glad you asked! An oven will normally preheat in 12 - 15 minutes. We are pleased to have been able to help.

My oven is taking to long to heat up. I set it on Bake at 350 F and after an hour it only reached 248 F. Any suggestion what parts should I check?
For model number CGEF3034MFD
Hi Samuel, thank you for your inquiry. We have concluded that the issue is with the temperature sensor, part number PS1528542. You may need to check this part, if it is faulty, you may need to replace it. We hope this information helps!
My oven heats up hotter than what the temperature is set at.
For model number CGEF3034MFD
Hello Helena, thank you for getting in touch. Based on the description that you have provided, we would recommend checking the temperature sensor, part number PS1528542, to fix the issue. This temperature sensor detects the temperature within the oven cavity. We hope this helps!
PF alarm appeared on display. Noticed clicking when cord was moved. Had arced for some time and melted original block. New part slightly different. Only has 3 lugs, old one had six. Stack using washers provided. Take note of colors before disassembly. Use caution while working through access opening. The edges are sharp. Only tools needed are phillips screwdriver, deep socket for lug nuts. Nut driver optional. Hope this is helpful.
First we removed two screws under the rim of the range top to open the lid. Lifted the lid and removed the screws from the bracket that holds the elements, Be careful with the clips that hold the element in, if you break them or bend them there aren't any more! Also note which holes they were in, they are marked according to the different sizes of elements. Disconnected the wires, needed needlenose pliers to grip them...connected new element, popped it back in place, replaced bracket, closed top ...Easy peasy!!!
I called a repair place. They charged $54 to diagnose, (said it needed a new latch motor) then wanted $220 to complete the repair. I checked online prices and did it myself for about 15 minutes work and the latch motor itself ($44?).
Was necessary to uplug the range, pull it away from the wall and remove the back panel sheet metal, then 3 screws that mount the motor. Replace motor, reattach sheet metal. Plug in. Done. Ready to bake cookies.
