I had the oven on for about 5 minutes using the bake function. I turned the oven off and selected the Air Fry option, set temperature and start button. I heard a loud pop sound. I thought there was a slight burning smell but unsure since the oven had been already been on. I cancelled the selection and tried just a regular bake, broil and convection bake. The oven heats up okay but the fan did not turn on during the convection bake. Stove top is working fine, as well. I’m going to assume something is up with the fan. No error message appeared in the display. Just a curiosity question: would the fan not function if the convection element blew or would they work independently of each other? Thanks.
For model number CES700P2M1S1
Hello Rose, Thank you for reaching out. The Fan should still work if the Convection Element is blown. It would just circulate cold air instead. If the elements are working and the fan is not, you may have a faulty Fan Motor. We hope this information is useful!

Hi Alan, thank you for contacting us. Before replacing the heating element, part number PS8754838, we would recommend checking the switch assembly, part number PS12709938, and the electronic control board, part number PS12709948. We hope this solves your problem!
8 month old range control panel stopped working, so can’t turn on oven. Stovetop works fine. Panel is blank except for a single bracket shape/C facing left at top of panel.
Tried breakers which are fine.

Removed six 1/4" hex nuts on rear of oven. Then through front/inside removed a single 1/4" hex nut to actually remove sensor. Unplug sensor connector, remove. Reversed steps, push oven back in place and plugged in. Tested oven function.
The existing terminal block on my Ge oven/Range had melted due to a loose wire causing sparking and starting the plastic casing of the terminal block on fire and melting it, Part select made the part easy to find and had it at my house in 2 days. All I had to do was remove six screws to take the back sheet metal cover off of the oven. Unscrew the terminal connections remove two mounting screws that held the terminal on to the oven body. This was a little trickier than it should have been because the melted plastic had reformed making it very hard to access the mounting screws. i then mounted the new piece and plugged the oven in, it took 15 minutes and was very easy. definitely saved me at-least a $100 for the service call i would have made if finding the part wasn't so convenient
Unplugged appliance and removed 5 screws on back of stove/oven and removed plate. Disconnected the sensor and unscrewed it on the inside of the oven. Pulled the cord through and replaced with new sensor. Replaced all parts and plugged in the appliance and tested. Worked great.
