Where are the grease points, other then on the front wheel supports ?

Hello Keith, Thank you for the great question. The Grease Points for a Lawn Tractor can be the pulley and spindle bearings on the mower deck, the front wheel axles and the steering column. Good luck with this repair!

engine turns over, without the sparkplug but refuses to turnover when the sparkplug is in place

Thank you for your question. If your engine turns over without the spark plug, the starter may not be getting enough voltage when it is under compression. You may also have a faulty camshaft or the valves could be out of adjustment. You will need to inspect these parts to see which one is causing the issue. My mower stoped suddenly and now I have no spark
