Kenmore. half & half, bottom freezer stopped working
For model number 79576282600
Hello Arthur, thank you for your inquiry. If your freezer is not working, you may need to check if the shelves are packed too tightly. Overstuffed freezers can cause airflow blockage, especially when the evaporator fan is blocked. Excessive frost buildup on the walls of the freezer can congest the vents and coils that keep the freezer functioning. If your freezer is not working, we would recommend breaking down built-up ice to release that congestion and allow your freezer to maintain its proper temperature and clear off the freezer shelves. If these are not the issues, then you may need to replace the temperature sensor, part number PS3529165, to solve the problem. We hope this helps, good luck with this repair!

Remove and replace light switch
Video makes it look easy. Kenmore refrigerator does not have "groove" along the right hand side of switch that allows for pushing down on release. Used a thin screwdriver to get under to push while holding switch edge with pliers. Kept slipping. Tape sides to avoid scratching inside of refrigerator.

old bushing worn and broken
removed the upper freezer door to access screws to remove lower door.
laid bottom door on its side, removed bad bushing, put new bushing in, put bottom door back on refridge, put upper door back on fridge. Door worked easy as when new. good closure of door and story..Happy customer, and wife even happier.....thank you....

plastic on rail guides broke
removed three screws from each guide and removed. Replaced with new guides using the same screws.
