The LED light module in the refrigerator failed. Dim and one LED not lit
There is a Philips head screw that holds the light cover on. Remove it. Pull the cover off from the back. It is rather tight so you need to pull fairly hard. Two tabs on the left side of the light hold the assembly in place. Release them and drop the module down. Unplug and do the reverse to put it back together.
The manual says to unplug.the refrigerator. Power to the light can be turned off by taping the door switch down.

one of the diodes on the LED strip was out light was dim
using a stubby phillips screw driver removed the screw on the back side of the light assembly. Once the cover was removed there are two clips on the left side that you need to release and allow the light to pivot down. once removed press the clip on the wiring harness to separate the quick connect harness. Reinstall the new light, first insert on the right side then bring up the left side to snap back in to the clips you may need to push back on the clips so it snaps in easier. then install cover plate

Light Fixture in refrigerator started flickering, eventually becoming dim. Based on information I found on YouTube, the issue pointed to the LED Light Module.
The first step was to turn off the breaker supplying power to the refrigerator. This was easier than trying to move the refrigerator to unplug. The second step required moving one Philips head screw so the light fixture cover could be removed. The third step required removing the existing LED Light Module. The fourth step required installing the new replacement LED Light Module. Lastly everything was put back in place and the circuit breaker turned on. The lighting in the refrigerator is now back to normal. Note: I did find a good video on You Tube that showed all the steps listed above. This is definitely a DIY project. BR Marvin

Removed one Phillips screw holding cover—removed it using light pressure. Released two tabs on left side holding module —allowing it to drop down. Unplugged wiring terminal and removed old module. Reverse the process and all goes well and extremely easy. I didn’t see the need to disconnect the power.

Main light went out.
First thing was to UNPLUG the frig. Removed the screw in the back of the light. Slid/lifted off the plastic cover took out the light panel and unplugged it. Ordered a new one online and reversed my moves to reinstall the new one ! Not ever having done it before, it went pretty smooth. Easier next time. ??

The light module part you show costs around 62$ but it appears to only have 4 led bulbs... my current module has 8 bulbs.

How do replace the LED light in my Whirlpool frig. I have light, but not sure how to remove. Panel of eight lights.

Hello Frank, thank you for reaching out. We have found some relevant instructions to remove the LED light module. These instructions may not be of the same exact model, but will help you with the process. Remove the lens cover by removing the screw on the rear end using a screwdriver. Then, use a butter knife and insert it from the side of the module. Push it downwards and the module will come off. Depress the locking tabs with the flathead screwdriver and disconnect the wire harness. Follow the same instructions backwards to install the new LED module. We hope this information helps!

When you open the top door light flickers how do you know if it’s the switch or the led board and where is the switch located we have taken out the led part because the flickering is crazy
