I removed the basket hub and ring assembly and it sounds like it has a liquid internal, is this normal???
For model number GHWN5250DOWS
Hello Paul, We are glad you asked!. If you hear a sloshing sound when you move the inner tub in a newer GE washer, that is the balance ring. This is an enclosed plastic container partially filled with a salt water solution, it is attached to the inner clothes basket, and allows the basket to spin smoothly should an out of balance situation occur. This is a normal sound. We are pleased to have been able to help.

Looking at the basket hub and ring assembly, the hub of my washer has disintegrated. Is there a way to buy just the hub? What is the part #? Why would this piece disintegrate?
For model number GTWN4250D1WS
Hello Steven, thank you for your question. You can purchase the hub nut and washer separately from the tub. The Hub nut is part number WH2X1193 and the washer is part number WH2X1199. I hope this helps!

For model number GLWN2800D0WS
Hello Matthew, Thank you for the question. Very sorry but GE only sells it as a kit. It is not sold separate from the kit. Thank you for your inquiry, good luck with this repair!
