When I plugged the power cord into wall outlet, I saw a tiny electrical sparkle. I checked the current thru the board mounted on the machine, it was fine but I want to know if the power cord is ok.
Thank you
For model number MVWB855DC2
Hi Fred, thank you for reaching out. We have found that when an appliance is plugged in, or turned on, some of that very fast, hot electricity transfers from the outlet into the appliance. A rapid draw on available power occurs, resulting in a brief spark. This is normal and no more threatening than a mini-jolt of static electricity. Since you have tested the current through the control board and it is fine, then the power cord is okay. But, if the appliance is not working even after being plugged in, then we would recommend checking the power cord, part number PS12070815, to solve the problem. We hope this helps, good luck with this repair!
