I have a 3 years old GE washer that stop working and it has flickering light display and the water pump pumping out water continuously even the water empty on the tub. Will you please help me to diagnose this problem. Thanks

Hi Allan,
1. Take pictures of old release installed incase you need a guide, remove the lid off the release.
2. Remove the old lid lock release with a knife or other tool.
3. install new part where old parts was located, reinstall the lid covering the release.

Hello Richard, Thank you for the question. If everything else is operating normally, we suggest checking the Lid Lock, PartSelect Number PS12069207. The Lid Lock acts as a Safety measure to prevent the drum from spinning if the Lid is Open. When defective, it can not tell the controls the Lid is closed and safe to Spin. We hope this helps!
