Off/On pushin switch was broken
Made a BIG mistake ordered replacement part based on Model number of dryer. The part I received was wrong. Took out the broken part and found a part number on it. Reordered a new part based on that number. When it arrived, replacement took about 15 minutes. Lesson learned: see if number on part to be replaced. Don't trust the Model number.

How to install a new push start switch on this Maytag model

Thank you for your question. Unfortunately we do not have any information on your switch and model specifically. However the start switch is installed very much the same across models. Drum not turning but it gets heat. Have replaced thermostat, thermal fuse, and a motor but it still has the same problem. Will appreciate any other suggestions.Thank you,

Last night the dryer worked fine. Today turned it to timed dry, press the start and nothing...no sounds. heating element turned on but no turning and the belt is still intact. would this be the starter switch.

Hello Nick, thank you for your question. We would recommend testing the start switch PartSelect Number PS11756343, and door switch PartSelect Number PS11750824 first. If these parts are tested we would recommend testing PartSelect Number PS11741405 and then the dryer motor PartSelect Number PS334304. I hope this helps!
