Agitator upper portion would not spin.
It was fairly easy to remove the upper portion of the agitator. It takes a little force to pull off the whole upper portion once you have removed the retaining bolt. I personally found it easier to put the new cam assembly in while holding the whole unit upside down.

Top of agitator wasn't moving properly
(For those who have a weird sunken plastic cube slot instead of a nut or screw to remove) The dog teeth were worn down. Generally this is an easy repair. It happened once before to me with a Whirlpool and I knew immediately what I needed to do. HOWEVER, when I popped the plastic cap off the top of the agitator (this model doesn't have the fab softener dispenser) what I found was a surprise. It wasn't an 11mm nut, it wasn't a screw, it was an inverted cubed slot made of plastic (not sure what those are called) that looked like it needed a 3/4 - 1 inch socket drive to go into it. I had nothing that would fit in there to get any leverage to loosen it up. Frustrated, I began grabbing everything I could find to shove in there that I thought might grab to no avail. In pure desperation I grabbed my wife's garden shears (the common little hand-held kind that curve at the end) and it was the perfect size to wedge in just enough to grab the corners of the cubed-shape slot. It took just a little force to loosen and I was able to unscrew it by hand after that. Then the repair was just as it normally is. Remove the top piece of the agitator, remove the spring piece and slip the plastic part up to remove the dog teeth. Replace, put back together in reverse order.

The upper agitator would not work.
Pryed off the upper agitator cap, unbolted the agitator, lifted it out, replaced the dogs, and put it back together. A very easy home repair.

Upper agitator would not agitate.
The cam kit itself did not fit. However, the dog ears could be swapped out. It's cheaper to buy the set separately, they're fairly universal. Part number: PS388034

My 11 year old daughter broke the door clasp
My 11 year old daughter broke the door clasp to the dryer by repeatedly slamming it trying to get it to close. I told her to go down stairs write down the make model and serial number and come back up and find a place to buy it online. I left with instructions not to use the computer for anything else until the part was found. Less then 15 minutes later I came back because I heard giggling. She was chatting but had found an exploded view of the door and the part. She was very pleased with herself! We bought it and it arrived a few days later. I saw the empty box. She had opened it and taken it down and installed it herself. A good lesson, for her and me

door catch would not latch
Well tried to find this simple part around Columbus and even maytag website no luck.Parts select had it to go and arrived earlier than expected.Fixed it less than 5 minutes works great.taken longer to put the light bulb back in,Really like the accuracy and quick response from parts select. If I had called a service tech probably would have cost $50.00 or more for a part that cost a little over $3.00 and saved this site in case I need to order other parts.Thank you

could not get the bottom agitator to release, so finally just left it in place, first bolt I had did not fit right so ordered one directly from your store also had to wait dor my tools to get in
I am an old woman who is disabled and without any tools or knowledge, but sheer stubbornness and will power, I waited for my tools and other parts to come in, in the mean time I fixed my young neighbors whirlpool washer, well We took top off the nut I had already pre assembled her cam so set it in place of old one put bolt back in place and the top of agitator she says works perfectly now, my parts came in I had nothing to remove as my handicap daughter had already thrown away all the loose parts, I threw away old top agitator, assembled cam and put in place still did not feel tight enough so added seal from other nut!! it worked tight enough, put the inner part back in with new part and soap put the top back on and now works good as new, was disappointed could not put bottom agitator in place, just not strong enough lol well this was my story

spin cycle did not activate
Replaced hinge switch. Still no spin cycle. Noticed hinge bearing cracked & if hinge forced into switch, spin activated. Ordered new hinge bearings.Spin cycle still didn't engage. On further examination, observed that hinge was bent. Straightened hinge & worked like a charm. Didn't really need new switch or bearings. NOTE : Avoid having washer door bang shut.Took longer than expected, but each procedure was simple.
