We have a refrigerator Frigidaire professional fphs2386lfo and it doesn't work anymore, no light, no light on the control panel, so nothing at all. Would you please tell us what is the problem ? Thank you

We have an issue with the ice dispensing mechanism. It makes ice fine, but when we try to dispense the ice it makes a bump-type noise and then does nothing. Once in awhile it will dispense but that is rare. We are not sure if this is an electronic or mechanical issue. Is this something you have heard of?

Thanks for your question. If you have not changed the water filter within the last 6 months, be sure to do so. You may also wish to test the water inlet valve with a multimeter to see if it has electrical continuity, and replace it if it shows no continuity. If both parts are intact, consider examining the icemaker itself to see if any of the parts are worn or not functioning.
