Dishwasher would not pump water out. Othre appliance was advantium oven.
Removed the dishwasher. Simple to remove and replace the pump, flapper, and o-ring. Reinstalled dishwasher. It worked! The GE Advantium was another story. Replaced the Magnetron, diode, and capacitor. Oven still did not work so I took it to the dump. No more GE!
First and most important - unplug AC power 24 hours before service.
I removed the vent cover above the main door, then I removed the screw which holds the control panel in place, unplugged the main connector on the control panel so I would have enough room to work, removed grounding screw from the DIODE ASSY, pulled connector off the CAPACITOR with pliers, installed new DIODE ASSY.
After installation of DIODE and the control Panel, I plugged in the AC power and allowed the CAPACITOR to charge - this takes about an hour or so, then test. Works perfect!

Microwave went totaly blank - No power
Disassembled the front cover, found slow blow fuses, then replaced with microwave fuses 250V-20Amp. Utilized a few fuses to pin point the problem, Microwave functions all worked except the express feature, made an assumption after using a tester that it was the high voltage capacitor and the diode that attaches. Replaced both, plugged in and tested. Worked! reinstalled the unit. Sucessfull for the past month.
Remove upper grill, then control panel, then 2 screws hold door switch mounting bracket, that will let you roll the switches out to work on them. Remove each switch by carefully pushing back retainer clips. Diode a long pair of needlenose pliers is helpful. The control board in front of capacitor comes out with a flat screwdriver and pry up. Removing grnd wires helps

Everything is working but food is not heating/cooking
For model number PVM1790SR1SS
Hi Kathryn, Thank you for the question. I suggest testing or replacing the Diode Cable, PartSelect Number PS239148 or the Capacitor, Part Number: PS2339855. If these parts are good you may need a new Magnetron. Hope this helps!

I replaced the in line fuse, diode cable and the capacitor and the micorwave is still unresponsive and will not turn on. Any other suggestions? Could i have received a bad in line fuse? Thanks,
For model number zsc1001kss01
Hello Thomas, thank you for your question. If the unit lights are working, but the microwave wont star I would recommend checking the door switches on the unit, part number WB24X10029 and WB24X817 to see if these switches are faulty. If the unit is working but not heating the magnetron would be the next part to replace to fix this issue. I hope this helps!

The microwave turns in and seems like it is working but the food does not heat up. What could be the cause? It is only 4 years old.
For model number PVM9179SFSS
Hello Debra, Thank you for the question. The first part to check is the Diode, PartSelect Number PS239148. It should read around 50K Ohms. You can also test the thermostat, PartSelect Number PS2321365. It should show continuity. If both are good, you may have a defective Magnetron, PartSelect Number PS11729114. Thank you for your inquiry, good luck with this repair!
The microwave works for about 7 minutes then shuts down; goes completely dark with no
Led's, then after about 10-15 minutes it comes back to life with all the proper led's displaying. But if i run it for 7 minutes or so the same thing keeps happening. Thanks so much!
For model number SCB2000CBB
Hi Laura,
Thank you for your question. If the microwave is shutting off and then coming back on, one of the door switches is likely causing the issue and you will need to test them to see which one is causing the issue. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

The advantium microwave works for about 7 minutes then shuts down; goes completely dark with no led's, then after about 10-15 minutes it comes back to life (with either the door open or shut)with all the proper led's displaying. But if i run it for 7 minutes or so the same scenario keeps repeats itself. The door switches have been checked and are ok. Thanks so much!

Hello Laura, thank you for your question. We would recommend testing the thermostats in the unit. It sounds like a thermostat issue is cutting the unit off. The thermostat part numbers are PartSelect Number: PS2321366 and PartSelect Number: PS235672. I hope this helps!

I am trying to understand your suggestion. Are you saying a faulty thermostat could let the oven run for the 7 or so minutes then shut off, then completely cause it to go dark , no light even when the door opens, power off, and then come back on and appear to be normal?
For model number SCB2000CBB03
Hi Laura,
Thank you for your question. You will need to check both the thermostats and the door switches. If these parts are malfunctioning, then they can cause oven not to work correctly. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Convection oven heats, but not to right temperature. Set it at 350 and range thermometer shows 250
For model number JE1590SH02
Hello Ken, Thank you for the question. If the issue only happens in Convection mode and the Heater tests good, you may need to replace the Electronic Control Board. We hope this helps!
