Reputable part supplier
I received my part as advertized, however it was broken during shipping. The vendor (PartSelect) determined the problem and covered the cost of shipping and replacing the part. I lost no money in the transaction and was taken care of politely and efficiently. It is good to come across old-style customer support over the Internet.

Dryer would turn off too soon and clothes were not completely dry.
I removed the Moisture sensor from inside the dryer and installed the new one. Two wires are connected to the sensor and it is fastened down with two screws.

Seems the moisture sensing strip is starting to come off and clothes are getting caught on it and getting damaged. Is this a common issue with aging of this dryers with wear and tear on them. Will replacing the strip solve this?
For model number FAQE7001LWO
Hi Mike, thank you for the question. The issue will most probably solve after replacing the moisture sensor, part number PS2363411. After long periods of usage, the moisture sensor may become covered by a fine layer of limescale or residues of detergents and care products. Such residues must be removed regularly in order to keep the sensor functioning working properly. To clean the sensor, open the appliance door and thoroughly clean the area of the moisture sensor with a coarse sponge. Do not use abrasives and steel wool as the sensor can be damaged. Customer service is available 7 days a week if you require assistance placing an order. Thanks again for reaching out!

This dryer works well but recently it is not getting the close completely dry on one cycle. I cleaned all lint (there was not much) but no change.
The temperature gets hot. Probably a sensor, but which one?
Thanks,
Doug
For model number Electrolux eied50liw2 dryer
Hi Doug,
Thank you for your question. If your dryer takes too long to dry, you will need to check the high limit thermostat. The high limit thermostat is used in a dryer and monitors the temperature to make sure it does not exceed 260 degrees Fahrenheit. When your dryer temperature reaches 260 degrees Fahrenheit, it will cut out and will only come back on when it drops by at least 70 degrees Fahrenheit. If your dryer is overheating, taking too long to dry clothes, or it is not producing enough heat, replacing the thermostat could be the solution to your problem. We have included a link that you may reference on how to check this part. The part number listed under your model number for the high limit thermostat is PS446428. If you need help placing an order for it, customer service is open 7 days a week and anyone will be happy to assist you. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you!

What part for the dryer do you need if dryer does not shut off when clothes are dry? The dryer continues to stay on.
Hi Tonya,
Thank you for your question. If the dryer is not shutting off, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which ones are causing the issue. Depending on the dryer you have, you will need to check the door switch, the timer, the cycling thermostat and the cool down thermostat. For more information on what other parts you will need to check, we will need the model number from your dryer. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!
