If I buy this electric control, how difficult would it be for me to install myself? Would it be work to install this. My washer is 7 years old.

Hi Danny, Thank you for the question. Previous customers have said it was a fairly easy repair. It takes an average of about 30 mins to do and you will need to remove the back console to access the board.Hope this helps!

I had a repairman here and he said my Maytag washer needs a new control board and gave me an estimate of $453. My son said to get the part and that he would put it on. My washer is only 4 years old. Is this the part i need (control, electric)?

Thanks for your question. It is certainly possible that the control board needs replacement, but you may wish to check all of the other parts related to your washer's symptom from the model search and see if the recommended parts offer a cheaper solution. Most electrical parts can be tested with a multimeter to see if they have electrical continuity, and it is safe to replace them if they do not test for continuity properly.
