DVM1850BMC02 General Electric Microwave - Instructions

This is the 3rd time I have used PartSelect to help me repair appliances I never thought I could fix on my own. The troubleshooting knowledgebase walked me through repairing my dryer, the illustrated parts diagrams gave confidence to replace the thermostat in my oven, and now to replace the tray motor in my microwave, all saving lots of m ... Read more oney in my pocket instead of the repairmans. This motor repair simply requires removal of 4 screws, and unplugging an electrical connector. Hooray for PartSelect!!!

Removed the 5 screws that held the housing so it dropped down. removed the 2 screws to the motor. Disconnedted the plug. reinstalled the new motor. connected the plug and raised the housing and replaced the 5 screws. Took less than 10 minutes start to finish. Piece-of-cake.

I removed the five screws that held the bottom plate in place. After removing the bottom plate, I unscrewed the one screw holding the drive motor, unplugged the motor, and then installed the new motor. Replaced the botton plate and then tested the new motor. Everything worked like new.

The part was less expensive than buying ... Read more it from GE. I ordered the motor on a Monday morning and received it Wednesday afternoon. I was completely satisified with the price, part, and shipping time.

Removed six screws that allowed the "bottom" to swing down; then removed the two screws holding the motor - disconnected the two wires. Installed the motor and reversed this procedure to finish the project.

Let me keep this short and simple.

Disconnect the power to the microwave
Remove the (7) screws from the bottom panel
Disconnect the wires from the old Drive Motor
Remove the retaining screws of the drive motor
Then install the new drive motor in the reverse order

took screws out of bottom of microwave.dropped down bottom cover to get at drive motor I took out one screw droped down cooking tray motor disconnnected 2 wires reconnected put back up and put 1 screw in ,fastened bottom and was fixed very easy ,and parts select is the best place to find what you are looking for if I ever need parts th ... Most mirco wave have a plate on the bottom to protect turn table motor. This one had no screws - it has 6 tabs holding the protective cover. Used pliers to tear tabs. Used philip's driver to remove screw and turned motor to come out. Went back in reverse order replacing motor. Left protective plate off

Removed five screws from the underside of the mircowave. Disconnected the two prong plug in. Removed the one screw that held the motor and replaced with new motor. Reconnected the plug and replaced the five screws
Tested the result with a bag of microwave popcorn. Worked perfectly.

I took it apart and found a small electric motor was not working . I couldn't find it locally so I ordered it from partselect and it was here in just a few days.the repair was easy only a few screws and plug it in.

removed the srews under the unit unplugged the rotor motor and unscrewed 2 screws holding in the motor. When new motor arrived I plugged it up and put it on with the 2 screws and then put the bottom filter screen piece back on with the 6 little screws. REal, real easy.

easy repair. removed seven screws on the underside of the microwave and lowered the bottom cover. removed two screws from the old motor, unpluged the wires. reversed this sequence to install. took less than 5 minutes.
I had previously read these steps others had posted on partselect so the job was a breeze!

it was easy . i unsrewed 2 srews and it went right in place

I removed the microwave oven from the wall by unscrewing a trim plate or frame that surrounds the face of the oven. Pulled the oven out of the cabinet. Read more exposed the turn table motor. The motor was attached by two screws and a connector plug. In a couple minutes I removed the motor and replaced it with the new one and reassembled the oven. I put it back in the cabinet and it works like new again.

Took the bottom of microwave off unplugged motor replaced it with new one (two screws) plugged it in replaced bottom and ther you go saved $240.00 over the local appliance repair company. Thanks Mike,

Removed the cover, 6 screws and then the motor, 2 screws. Unpluged the old motor and just reversed the process.
