4RF302BXEQ1 Whirlpool Range - Instructions

Unscrewed the switches and let the switch hang while replacing one wire at a time. Followed instructions on wire replacement. Exact parts, only shaft on 6" switch was too long -- okay, because it is designed to break off a piece on end of shaft, then the knob fit. Everything was perfect.

Removed back plate, replaced infinite switch.
Replaced receptacle holder. Took a moment to see how to install wires into the receptacle, no instructions on orientation of wires into the receptacle. Wired receptacle per instructions. Placed receptacle into holder and installed burner. Burner Burner would not lay flat, receptacle longe ... Read more r than original. Removed receptacle from holder, plugged in burner and placed burner into position.

Replaced bottom trim included in kit.
Installed side door trim.
While trying to slide glass front in place both plastic side trims broke.
Had to use already broken door trim and glued in. Just hope when use oven glue doesn’t melt and will have to replace entire oven.

Unplugged unit from wall.
Unscrewed the two screws on at he back of the oven where the element is attached
Removed old element by pulling apart the connectors.
Attached new element to the connectors.
Replaced cover with the two screws.

Replaced the safety thermostat and disconnected the oven light.
Works great again...without the light

I removed the bottom drawer,unplugged the Range and pulled it out to expose the rear cover panel. Using a nut driver (a screw driver can be used), I removed the rear panel to expose the Thermal fuse located almost dead center in the back of the Range. Return the Range to its original position and plug it in. The job is done in less than 30 minutes.

Simply removed the bottom drawer, unscrew the old broken glide, and attach the new glide. Simple and no hassles.

Remove old receptacle and connected and replace new one. Burner now works perfectly again.

First Things first, unplug unit, remove rear cover with Phillips head screwdriver, disconnect, wires from broiler element which is the top, one, open oven, unscrew top screws first, then two at the back, wiggle out element, then reverse Steps , test repair before putting cover back on. After doing a YouTube search. I successfully completed the repair by easily diagnosing the issue with the element.
I watched a video about 5 most common problems with whirlpool broiler elements.
The first being to inspect the element for damage. I found a small section that appeared to be rough and had a raised bump.
I ... Read more decided to order a new element because the oven is older and it wouldn’t hurt to install a new one even if this wasn’t the issue.
Once the part arrived, which it did quickly, I followed the video instructions. It was easy and straight forward. I completed the task in under thirty minutes. It was very simple and I now have a functional broiler element.

Watched video & did just guy in video did. Very easy job & the burner works like new.

Unplugged appliance, removed the 2 screws that mount element. Unhooked the electric wires,with pliers.
Connected, the wires to new element replaced the 2 screws. And was done in about 9 minutes.

Problem I had was finding the right ones to fit the stove top. Burner pans that tell you will fit most stoves, do not. After I had paid over $20.00 for some that did not fit, I got on the internet, found you, ordered the replacement parts and had them within a few days. Put them in and there you go. 1. Unplug the power
2. Unscrew the two screws that hold the element
3. Pull the element out a little to expose the wires.
4. Gently pull off each wire (best done with needle nose) MAKE SURE THE WIRES DONT FALL INTO THE BACK OF THE OVEN.
5. Firmly seat wires back onto new element and replace screws
6. Bake stuff!
