11020022014 Kenmore Washer - Instructions

Gently pry top of agitator off with small flat-blade screwdriver. Using the square end of a 1/2-inch socket extension, unscrew the plastic center "nut." Lift agitator off, remove center cone that holds the dogs, slip the retainer ring off, remove the worn dogs and replace. (Great opportunity clean the soap scum off the agitator!) Reverse the process to complete the repair.

The repair went smoothy except for removing the screw that holds the upper agitator part from the bottom agitator. Once that was removed all went smoothly. Considering my washer is 17years old, I guess I should be happy that was my only problem. I followed the directions of the repairman in the video that was provided by the web site. Most of my parts matched his parts :). My husband was very proud that I repaired the washer and was able to diagnose the problem. Thanks for helping me save some $$$$. I unscrewed the top cap by hand and used a socket wrench to remove the main center unit.
the rest was very straight forward.

This washer would not go into spin cycle without going out of balance no matter how we arranged the contents in the drum. We were looking to buy a front loader when I happened open this company with video instructions and positive comments from other people with the same issue. For the cost it was worth a try. Following the video and in less than one hour the washer was back in service. It now operates like the day we installed it new. Highly recommend this fix which should save you hundreds on a new washer.

removed the agitator and melted the retaining clips to loosen the retainer cover for the cogs. went simple after that.

Followed video on your web site, and used that for ways to fix, good directions. If I was more organized it prob would of taken about an hour or less

Removed agitator according to instructions, although upper and lower agitator did not want to separate. I used a steel rod and hammer to separate them by hitting lower agitator where bolt goes through. After removing and replacing old cogs, cog holder had to be tipped upside down to insert in agitator. I used a small dap of toothpaste to hold retainer in place while I inserted it in agitator. Works great now.

I went on line to find out how take the adjetator apart. You just stand on the adjetator and pull the top off. Very simple. Once that wss apart I cleaned the dog area of dirt and old pieces. Install new dogs and put it back together. I was trying to make much harder than it was. Piece of cake.

Removed fabric softener dispenser. Inserted screwdriver into slot on side of cover that is on agitator and pried off. Used socket extension to unscrew bolt inside agitator. Lifted out and slid off plastic ring holding agitator cogs . Replaced cogs in the same direction they came out. Since these instructions were here on site at the time I ordered the parts, it made the job very simple and fast...the order came very fast too.

basically pop off the top spindle cover, reach in and pull off the water cap from the agitator cog cover, unscrew the bolt holding the cog holder and pull the agittator assembly up and off the machine. Remove the piece holding the gogs in place and replace cogs making sure to put them back in the same direction as they came out. Turn the agitator upside down and stick the piece holding the cogs in and snap it in. Replace all components in reverse order they were removed, and there you are. Works great.

one bolt in middle of the agitator. everything pulls straight out. spacer is on top of the other agitator. the top agitator if you turn upside down the clogs are under it. there is a black spacer that holds the clogs in place. the clogs will only work one way. put black spacer back on. put top agitatar back on top of bottom agitator. screw bolt back on and your done. turn washer on and see if everything is working well.

Remove the adgitator cap, remove a 7/16 bolt inside the agitator, lift out the top half the agitator and replace the guts with the new one. then insert and replace the bolt and snap the cap back on. The whole process didnt take 5 minnutes. it took longer to drive to the peoples house than it did to do the repair ! damn shame i couldnt charge by the minnute instead of by the hour. I cant believe kenmore got away with putting such junk on the market ! I' m sure many of these kits are being sold to those who do heavy loads od laundry!
