LG washer pump. How do i test to see if the motor on the pump is ok. Getting a oe error on the washer message and the machine will not drain. Took the pump out and drained the tub manually and found no blockage so suspected pump. Ohm reading 12
For model number WT5270CW
Hello Daniel, thank you for inquiring. The OE error indicates that the machine is unable to drain, either from a kinked Drain Hose (part number PS8749199), or a clogged Drain Pump Filter. It could also be due to a faulty Drain Pump (part number PS3636111). You can test the voltage of the Drain Pump with a multi-meter. It needs 120 volts to run correctly. You will need to test the voltage with the machine set to the drain/spin cycle. A reading of 16 ohms when testing the resistance is a good reading. Good luck with your repair!

I have replaced drain pump, made sure all drain hoses were not clogged and it still will not pump water from the tub. Washer goes into a spin cycle for a brief time but will not pump the water out of the tub, then it goes back to a very slow spin. What else can I check?
Hi Paul,
Thank you for your question. If your washer will not drain, the water level pressure switch may be malfunctioning. Before inspecting and testing the switch, please unplug the washer from the electrical outlet. Begin by opening the washer’s cabinet and remove the hose attached to the switch. Place the hose in water, seal one end, and blow into the other. If any bubbles rise to the surface, you will need a new hose. Then inspect the switch and the hose for any signs of cracking, fraying, wear, or damage. If you find your switch is damaged, you will need to replace it. We hope this helps! If you have any questions, please let us know.
