Refrigerator stop working
First I removed the relay and over load and exam. Saw that the relay was burnt. Before I order the part I check to see if the compressor was still working by jumping the common start and run terminals. It did. I also checked the start capacitor with a capacitor tester it was good. I than order the part which came the very next day.Installed the part

Cimpressor would not start
Checked compressor with amp meter, and found it was not running, found Overload Switch bad. When removing old switch watch carefully which lug you move wires from, so you will know which lug to put the new switch on.

Starting relay went out
Forty years ago I serviced air conditioners and all kinds of refrigeration. At that time starting relays were electro mechanical, I hadn’t looked under a refrigerator in a lot of years and was surprised to find out that the new relays were solid state. The defective one had a bunch of broken pieces floating around in the case. I jury rigged a starting cord and confirmed that the compressor would start and looked at running current for thirty or so seconds. I ordered a new relay kit and it worked just right. I’m seventy five years old and it takes me longer to get up off the floor than it took to replace the parts. Your delivery was first rate the parts got here before I finished doing the paint touch-up on the door under the ice maker/water dispenser. Fed ex was easily three to five days faster than the brown truck.

Removed the old parts then connected the new parts.
The compressor immediately started when I plugged the refrigerator back in. Around 24 hours later the freezer compartment was at 0 degrees, and the refrigerator was at 35 degrees.

Trying to replace compressor relay (4387535). Has 2 connecting plug on wires. Do both wires simply pull off and plug onto new part. I have one wire connection that is stubborn. Do I just pull on connector (black) harder? Is there a secret to removing the connector?
For model number ED22TEXHW02
Hello Ed, thank you for the question. They should just pull off and plug back into place. You may need to put a bit of pressure and wiggle them to come loose. We hope this helps!

Would there be audible clicking sound from the compressor relay/overload switch?
It appears that when my refrig cuts on and off, the voltage it draws from my house wiring can be as much as 135 volts or as low as 88 volts??
For model number ED0GTQXKQ00
Hi Brian, thank you for reaching out. The compressor relay/overload switch produces a clicking sound. The electrical requirements/rating of your model is 115volts, 50 Hz of alternating current. Based on the description you have provided, the issue is probably because of a faulty compressor relay and overload kit, part number PS371273. We hope this information is useful!
