upper agitator kept flying off during spin cycle
i replaced the 2 parts listed above.
very easily by using a 7/16 wrench to unloosen
the bolt that holds the agitator base on. pulled it off
(you have to pull a little hard) to unseat the base from the assy. looks like a tapered fit. then push the new one on. (make sure it bottoms out) then install & tighten the bolt. & then slide on the upper agitator

During the spin cycle the upper agitator spins off the base. Is there a washer to hold the upper agitator and base together?
For model number LA5550XPW7
Hello Donna, Thank you for the question. The Agitator Bolt, PartSelect Number PS11741866 would hold the upper agitator in place. Hope this helps!
