Product Description
Surface Element - 6 Inch Specifications
Sold individually. This part is sold individually. This is a part for your stove top. The surface element is what your cookware sits on. The element supplies heat at varying temperatures. This may need to be replaced if the coil has shorted out or the terminal block shorted, and this caused the connectors at the end to burn out. The element is set in place by springs. You will need to push the springs in to release the old element. Make sure the drip bowl is lined up with the terminal block and press the new element into place.

The parts were in great condition but delivery with Purolater was horrific. Took them three days longer to get here. They need to get GPS for their drivers.

Surface element didn't work
Make sure whichever surface element you are to replace is OFF.Carefully remove surface element by pulling it out of socket and remove drip bowl. Cleaned area around range top and place new or old drip bowl in place. Line up drip bowl cutouts and place on range top and simply push in/plug (2 prongs)in new surface element and place on drip bowl. It's that easy! To install 2 new surface elements and drip bowls took less than 5 minutes.

The6" surface element I use the most broke. I then decided it was time to buy original replacement drop bowls, since the ones I had been buying never it correctly.
Actually, a child of average intelligence can do this. Just pull the surface elements, take the old drip bowls, install the new ones and re-install the surface elements, including the brand new one I received.

The 6" burner element has popped out of the receptacle/frame. The element works, but falls out of the frame when we remove the element to clean the drip pan. How can we pop the element back into the frame? Thanks!
For model number TEF351EWJ
Hello John, Thank you for your inquiry. You may need a new receptacle as there are mounting brackets inside of it that hold the prongs of the element. The terminal block kit for the elements is part# 5303935058. Hope this helps!

Surface element does not heat. Bought a new one and still does not heat, and now i've discovered that the old element does work when plugged into another burner. Since the problem isn't the element, what is it?.
For model number TEF351EWB
Hello Barbara, thank you for your question. If the element is working when plugged into another spot, the issue would be the infinite switch that controls that element, the part number is PartSelect Number: PS1145039. Good luck with your repair!
