Product Description
Cold Water Valve Specifications
This is the replacement cold water inlet valve for your washer. It is mainly blue in color and has two solenoids. The water inlet valve in your washer connects to the water source and solenoid wires, and ensures the tub has the right amount of water entering it. If your washing machine continues to fill after it is full, or if it fills slowly, you may need to replace this valve. Before you begin this repair, be sure to disconnect the water and power sources from your washer. This part is sold individually and is an authentic OEM part.

very low cold water pressure
First problem I found, feed hose has cone screen . this was half clogged with black debris ,from deteriorating feed water hose ,(replace hose).old valve did not have internal filter inside port, but new one did. When removing old valve. lift up out of feed ports. Look for black rubber debris, from tube seals floating in box. You can remove particles with Q-tip and a pair of tweezers. After that, I have full flow. Great looking part, Fast delivery. 5 stars.

When the water temperature is set for cold, the water is hot. Any idea what the problem might be?
For model number MVWX655DW1
Hi Roger,
Thank you for your question. The selector switch or water temperature switch selects the water temperature for the wash and/or rinse portions of the cycle. The switch provides a circuit to supply power to the correct solenoids on the water inlet valve. If you do not have power at the solenoids on the water inlet valve, then the temperature selector switch may be at fault. Since you will be removing and testing electrical components, ensure that you unplug your washer before starting.
Remove the selector switch from your appliance in order to test it, you will need to disassemble all or part of your washer’s cabinet to access it. In most models, it is attached to the frame of the washing machine.
You will be testing the buttons on the switch one at a time. Begin by placing the probes on the terminals for one button, your reading should be infinity at this point, press in on the button, this should change your reading to zero, press in on another button, this should change the reading back to infinity.
If the readings you receive are different than those described above, you will need a replacement selector switch. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!
