The washer is making a grinding sound when it's pumping down. It sounds like like someone trying to put a manual shift car into gear without the clutch being pushed in. I'm thinking it's the clutch mechanism. Does that sound about right to you?

Thank you for your question. If the washer is making a grinding noise during the spin cycle, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which ones are causing the issue. When my washer first starts and it agitates the clothes it gets louder and then not so loud but during the spin process it is not loud at all, i have no codes on the washer and it spins the clothes out correcty

Hello Michelle, Thank you for your question. If the tub bearing system is defective the washer can become very noisy. You may want to check that system on your model for any defectives or damage. I hope this helps.
