My dryer quit blowing hot air
I searched YouTube for videos and found one that related. I did the common checks on "fuses" and found one that was open. I ordered the part(s), it came with an extra piece, and it was easy to replace and wasn't that expensive. I had to take off the back panel but after that it was one screw for the part, connect 2 spade terminals. and re-attach the back panel. The part I replaced was the thermal cut-off fuse and it blew because the lint trap was clogged.

Hello - i have two questions. 1) is this the part that is located at the top of the blower housing, above the heating element and high limit thermostat (on the same side)? 2) should i have continuity through this part?My dryer starts and runs but is not heating. i have tested the heating element, thermal fuse, and high limit thermostat and have continuity through each of those. i suspect this is the culprit but want to make sure i order the correct part.

Hi Matt,
Thank you for your question. This part is located at the top of the box heater. The part should show continuity. Set your multimeter to the R X 1 setting. Take each of your meter's probes and touch one to each terminal. You are testing for continuity, and you should receive a reading of either zero or infinity. At room temperature, testing the thermal fuse should produce a reading of zero. But if a thermal fuse is tested when it is heated to its limit, a reading of infinity should be produced. We strongly recommend that you test your thermal fuse at room temperature. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Should I be able to read continuity across the terminals on the CUTOFF-TML
?

Hello Louis, thank you for contacting us. A working thermal cut-off fuse, part number PS11769432, should have continuity when checked with the multimeter. If it does not have continuity, that means the thermal cut-off fuse is faulty. We hope this helps.

Dryer heats will not cut off. Cuts off if you open door or turn knob to off

Hello. Your Cutoff TML W10900067 shows two items in the picture and I was wondering if in fact one receives both of these or just the TML cutoff switch. Thanks
