I need to replace the control panel, part number wpw10537336. I cannot get the old part off. How do I remove the control panel from the dishwasher door? Thanks for your help.

Hello Connie,
Thanks for your question. Remove the screws securing the outer door panel. Pull the panel down and lift it up and out. Remove the screws securing the control panel next. Pull the panel off, then pull the tabs back to release the latch assembly. Remove the screws securing the control board to the panel. Take note of the wiring. Pull the tabs back to remove the board. Detatch the light tube and button actuators from the old panel. Align them and snap them in on the new panel, and reverse the process to install.

I am trying to replace the control panel # ps11756087 on my KitchenAid dishwasher mod. # kdfe104dwho and can't get the door to release and open with either the new or the old control panel. Do you have any helpful ideas? Thanks

Hello David, thank you for your question. We would recommend checking the strike where the door latches onto, part number Part Number: PS11756123 as well as the latch itself Part Number: PS11756967. If the strike is bent or loose or the latch is not meeting up with the strike properly, door will have issues opening and closing. I hope this helps!
