Part worked flawlessly
Got the part relatively quickly (came from 3 provinces over). And the part went into the machine perfectly; job took 10 minutes. It was the instructional video though that I found super helpful.

Door latch module was defective
This model is a front-loading washer. The spring loaded retainer for the front of the boot must be removed, then the boot can moved to the side exposing the module. Remove the two screws holding the model, pull the model out, remove the three electrical plugs, then reverse this procedure to install new module.

Washer starts and fills but once it starts to spin it blinks a red light (door lock) and stops running. Can get it to open and sometimes it'll finish the load but the problem seems to be getting worse. It doesn't seem to matter what size of load we put it.
For model number WFW9750WW001
Hello Barb, Thank you for the question. This sounds like the Door Lock is defective and needs to be replaced. Hope this helps!

The washer stopped in the middle of a cycle and wouldn't unlock. Finally unlocked, now the washer won't start. Makes noises as if it is trying to lock but light doesn't come on like it used to. I put it in diagnostic mode, but it didn't seem to move past testing the lock mechanism (kept flashing on rinse/spin). No error codes displayed. Is the latch on the door supposed to move around a little or should it be very tight? Thank you!!!!!!
For model number wfw8410sw03
Hi Chris,
Thank you for your inquiry. There are a few parts you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the door lock latch, the temperature sensor, the drain pump, the door strike, the drive belt and the dispenser actuator switch. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

How do i test this door lock assembly to make sure it’s what is causing my problems?
For model number WFW9151YWOO
Hello Dave, thank you for inquiring. You can test the resistance of the Door Lock Latch with a multimeter. The wax motor in the Door Lock Latch should test as around 1500-1750 ohms to be working properly.

Hi, for part # WPW10253483 washer door lock switch, there are 3 terminals I believe for 2 coils and one for common, what is the resistance value of these terminals for me to tell that I had a defective switch? My machine runs normally but will not start the final spin leaving the clothes very wet. I have checked the drain pump and hoses and all are free and clear. The machine gives me the code F0 E1. I cannot find this code in the failure error codes that came with the machine. Could it be a problem with the door not locking. It makes a noise when started that sounds like it is locking.
For model number YMHWE201YW00
Hi Brad, thank you for contacting us. We have researched the model and would suggest making sure you are not running the clean washer cycle when the clothes are in the drum. Unplug the washer for 5 minutes and then plug it back on. If the error still appears, the issue might be with the control board, part number PS11753744. It processes the cycle settings you choose. We hope this helps!
