Washer would fill extremely slowly when on cold water wash resulting in long fill(LF) error code.
The washing machine would only run on the hot water cycle. When trying to use the warm or cold setting, the water would dribble into the drum and result in an LF error code(long fill). I watched a brief video on replacing the water inlet valve which made it really easy to repair. I first turned off the water, disconnected the hoses from the machine, and opened the top to access the valves. I then disconnected the wires from the valve, removed the water tubes, swapped out the valves and put everything back together. I am not experienced in repair but this was a very easy fix! We decided to replace the single hot water valve and the dual cold water valve since it's an older machine and it works like new again!
Removed the top cover of the washer, unclamped the intake hoses from the valves and unplugged their control wires, unscrewed the old valves and removed them from the case, screwed on the new valves, replugged the wires, reclamped the hoses, fastened the top back on.

Narrow down lf error tip. Lf only on cold wash - rinse is ok (or vice versa for cold)? Verify by pulling dispenser tray and watch for flow, if any. If little or none suspect dual cold valve; less likely, pinched or obstructed tube or nozzle. No need to even check shutoff, hose or inlet filter. Order the part! :)

Hello Ronald, thank you for your question. The first step most manufacturer's recommend is to remove the top of the unit, and disassemble the hoses and the dispenser drawer. Most times, the dispenser, housing, and the hoses and inlet nozzles need a good cleaning. Soap and fabric softener builds up inside the unit and it will not dispenser properly. If those areas are clean, we would recommend testing the water valves that are attached to the back of the dispenser. I hope this helps!

Whirlpool duet front loader: Ywfw9151yw00
Hi there i have a Whirlpool washer front load, water dispenses properly for detergent and fabric softener, but not the bleach area, no water being dispensed so the siphon will not activate itself.
tray is fine tested in sink and works properly.
any ideas what can be the problem.
