when closing microwave door, microwave keeps running. I have replaced all the switches. still happens.
For model number hmv3051u/01
Hello Sue, thank you for asking. We have researched your model and found that the problem is probably with the door latch, part number PS8730875. A faulty latch could prevent the door from closing firmly. If this does not help, we would recommend replacing the control board, part number PS8730885. We hope this helps!
How can I tell when the fuse is blown? The fuse is all white. However, one of them seems to have some dark shading in the white. Does that mean that fuse is blown?
Thanks,
For model number HMC80252UC
Hello Howard, thank you for your inquiry. In order to check whether the fuse is blown. Remove the fuse from its holder. Look at the fuse wire. If there is a visible gap in the wire or a dark or metallic smear inside the glass, then the fuse is blown and needs to be replaced. If you cannot see whether the fuse is blown. Set a multimeter to the resistance setting. Place one of the multimeter leads on one end of the fuse. Place the other lead on the other end of the fuse. If the reading is between 0 and 5 O (Ohms), the fuse is good. A higher reading indicates a bad or degraded fuse. A reading of OL (Over Limit) definitely means a blown fuse. The dark shading in the fuse also means that the fuse is blown. The compatible fuse for your model is part number PS10060777. Glad to be of help!
