After part arrived I removed fan casing from the inside, then slid the range out and unplugged it. I unscrewed part from the back and put in the new part. Plugged range, turned on convection to test and it works properly now! Fan spins smoothly!

The repair was very easy, though expensive. Just slid in the racks and installed new bottom with only two screws to remove and replace after setting the bottom pan in place..

After watching the video, I said to my wife that this is a simple installation. However, I’m looking at the screws, I did not have the correct screwdriver to remove the screws. I had to go out and buy that. After that, it was not a problem.

I first shut off the breaker, then, after pulling the stove away from the wall, I unplugged it. I removed the two screws in the back of the stove which came off easily. I removed the two screws inside the oven and removed the bottom plate. I noticed the heating element I was changing had braces along the bottom. I had to remove the two s

crews and removed the burnt out element. The new element did not have the braces the original element had, but it fit in perfectly. Then I replaced all the screws, plugged it in and turned on the breaker and it worked. The only thing that we noticed is there’s a clicking sound every time the temperature increases. Not sure what that is.

There is a good video on YouTube that shows exactly how to replace the bake element. Had mine fixed in 15 to 20 minutes. Saved me about $150 by not having to call repairman.

Remove the range door. Look on YouTube. Remove 4 screws holding on the fan cover at the rear wall of the range. (This was a slide in range and I could not get to the back without a lot of extra work.) Remove the 3 screws holding the fan in place. Be care and handle the fan gently. Remove the fan by moving outward slightly. Be very

careful of the electrical connections on the back of the fan. There are 4. Tilt the assembly out from the top a couple of inches. Slide off the two wires to the heating element, lower the assembly down while keeping the bottom close to the range back wall. Slide off the two connection fan wires on the bottom. Be careful and do not over stress this plastic harness wire connection, it will break. Remove fan. Put the new one on. First slide on the harness connection at the bottom while holding the bottom of the fan close to the range back wall. Rotate up and hook the two element wires. Put the screws back in for the fan and cover. This is very sensitive work. Take you time.

I have tried to call, but NO-ONE answers the phone. I have sent emails, but all I get is an automated response telling me to go to the web site. Partselect is the worst company I have ever dealt with, I need to return about $100 in parts and I cannot get an automated return form or someone on the phone. I will NEVER do business with

Watched the video and realized this was something I could do myself...bear in mind I'm not exactly a handyman! Took me about 30min as the oven also needed some cleaning...my tenant definitely needs to use the self-cleaning!
I have to note, although the heating element was covered by Maytag's 10yr limited parts warranty, I deci ... Supposedly Maytag had the part in stock but their warehouse was behind because of the pandemic...what a lame excuse! Almost a month later, Maytag has yet to ship the part! Needless to say, am very disappointed in Maytag's after sales and warranty program! I get the impression, they just wanted to pressure me to buy the new part!
Lastly, was very pleased and impressed by PartSelect's customer service! Their website was very easy to use, less expensive than buying direct from Maytag and the part was shipped same day! Thank you PartSelect!

Very Simple, I recommend pulling the old gasket in sections, and popping the new gasket metal holders in the holes as you go. You can't mess it up. For the ends, I tucked them in using a pair of needle nose pliers, but any small slender tool, such as a thin screwdriver, will work.
