Order parts and installed - no tools needed - completed repairs less than 1 minute

I JUST EXCHANGED THE BURNER AND BURNER CAP.

Unplug the range from its wall socket to avoid electric shock. The various range parts that support a pot or frypan are easily lifted off their perches, exposing the small white igniter. Replace igniter in its retainer, then replace the range parts you removed to expose the igniter and plug the range back into the wall socket. Piece of cake.

First step is to turn off the electrical then disassemble the cook top. It is secured to pan by each of the burner mechanisms. Disconnect the spark wire from each porcelain drip pan. Read more rk module was a bit challenging in that the colors of the wires didn't match so if you aren't comfortable with electrical work I would get help. The module didn't fit the bracket so,I had to drill new holes and use self tapping screws to mount it. The other part part I intended to change was the spark igniter switch. Unfortunately the wiring was incompatible so I had to return that part. This top was sold by Kenmore but made by GE and is over 10 years old so I suspect an engineering change obsoleted my part. Overall the job wasn't that bad if you are reasonably mechanical..

Remove the existing burner and install the replacement.

Unplug!!
Pull knobs
Pull burner centers
Unscrew the nut at the center of each burner
Tilt cover up revealing under burner controls
Remove old harness
Install new harness
Reassemble in reverse order
Plug in NO ticking

Too easy a five year old could do it

Replaced worn or missing Grate Foot with new ones. Took less than 5 minutes.

Inserted the grate foot into the spot provided; after consulting the parts manuel to insure I was using the proper procedure.

I do use silicone to help hold the foot but it still won't hold

The repair was extremely easy. Just removed the old burners and dropped in the new ones. No tools needed.

Had two burners on the stove that would not light. Had tried cleaning them but they still did not ignite. Replaced both burner heads. Once replaced. they ignited right away and have worked ever since.

I got really great customer service on finally getting the right part. It came really fast it fit perfect but the cap is a high gloss black instead of a flat black. I will need to call customer service again to see if they can the correct color this time.
Otherwise everything was great!

It only required placing the new burner in the proper location.

the electrodes on this model have to be removed before you can raise cooktop, once cooktop is raised remove wire from burner bracket, use needle nose pliers to squeeze bottom of clip,remove &replace with new parts.

Cut off approx. 1/8" in length for correct fit.
