Microwave was sparking
Replaced the wave cover. Unscrewed existing cover that is at the top inside the microwave. Screwed in the new cover.
Took about 30 seconds to do. Bosch service wanted over $100 for a service call plus parts and labor. Did it myself in seconds for under $10.

The porcelain tri piece the turntable sits on broke.
Pulled out the old piece after removing turntable and put new piece in. Then put turntable back on top.
It's a $9 part and I probably saved at least $200.

Microwave/Combo Oven trips breaker when you open the door
There are two small switches that the door interacts with. As they age they can fail outright or "stick" --either will trip your breaker. It is also likely that the small plastic support holding the switches starts to age and allow play or movement of the switches. I replaced both switches (after testing that one of them was bad) and both supports. About $35 to keep a 6 year old microwave going. Way better than replacing it for $1750+. It takes help to remove/replace the oven from the wall, but only a screwdriver to remove the side and top pieces to access the switches and supports YouTube videos can guide you. Thanks partselect.com for keeping me going with your Bosch parts selection!

20A Fuse burns every few days
I replaced the microswitches on both sides of the oven door. The procedure is very easy:
- Unplug from power
- Remove the top cover - there are two parts (screws are on the top)
- Remove the support on the right side (the microswitch is inside this part) - by removing the two screws screws on top of the part.
- Remove the two electrical wires from the switch by pulling the cable shoes. Note that the cable shoes can be snug - don't pull on the wires.
- Insert the microswitch (the one with red micro button) into the new support - in an identical position. Use the old part as a reference. Note that there is a tiny latch inside that should be moved gently aside to allow the switch to get in place.
- Connect the electrical wires and install the new support in place.
-Repeat the procedure on the left side - note the left side has two switches - one with green micro button and the bottom one identical to the one on the right.
- Make sure to install a new fuse before closing the top covers.

Microwave would run for 30 seconds and shut off
Thermal switch on top of Magnetron was defective, spade contacts were burned and loose. New switch $6 +shipping. Removed top cover held on with several Philips head screws. Plugged unit in and gave it 30 seconds to test the fan was working, it was. Put 500ml water in cavity, ran it for 60 seconds, which after fiddling with wires it did, and got over 20C temp rise so magnetron was working (detailed instructions online). Switch is right on top of magnetron. Tried to remove spade lugs but lugs pulled out of switch so I cut the lugs off and removed the broken switch. Screwed down new switch using old hardware. Trimmed wires back and cleaned them. Used crimping tool to put on new spade lugs from car parts store. put heat shrink over lugs and wires to strain relief and buttoned the unit up. Microwave works fine and oven baked a cake so good repair.

Micro switch on the door burnt out and was showering sparks
I unfastened the unit and slid it out of the cabinet, then I removed the top and side panel to expose the switch and support . I got the model number and called Part Select for the repair parts which they had in stock
I had the parts the next day ! Amazing
I Installed the new parts and reassembled the unit. It works perfectly
Thank you. I think I saved about $300.00 on what an appliance repair company would have charged me.

Bosch HMC 80251UC microwave oven combo, unit does not working.
Bosch HMC 80251UC microwave oven combo known for its many problems. Dim LED display and others issues. This was a third round of replacing parts. Unit was working for a week. While in use the unit abruptly quit working agai. I am puzzled what else to replace now.
Replaced door switches three times. I suspect another (green Botton) switch again. The whole unit is heavy and need two people to pull out of the cabinet.

The breaker in my house would stay open on microwave circuit
I watched a YouTube video that confirmed the diagnosis of failed safety switch. Order the switch and the housing as recommended (because the housing is cheap plastic and as it ages it wiggles too much and no longer holds the switch correctly).
With help of my sons to get the microwave out this was an easy repair. I recommend taking the left side panel off (involves removing the left frame rail as well, but makes access SO much easier).
Bottom line: no need to replace a $1700 microwave. No need to replace several appliances to go with a new brand (that was wife's idea for $4500!).
Nope! $15 of parts from partselect.com (plus shipping) and we are cooking again! THANKS!

No heat and turn table did not turn
After going to a local parts store to get the correct switch, I replaced the right door switch. The correct switch is a normally open switch. The one shipped to me was a normally closed switch. Either Bosch provided the wrong description of the part required or someone at partselect needs to check the part stocked.
